'Cattle Class'

As an Indian voter who cheered for Mr Tharoor, on his way to the Parliament, and Ministership, I have to say, I am puzzled by his stand on the Government's/Congress Party's austerity drive.

This austerity drive, late though it has come, is a symbolic gesture to the Indian public, to curb wayward spending trends.

Living luxuriously out of one’s own pocket is all very well; but such indulgence is not acceptable when one purports to be a People’s Representative, and the People’s Government that one is part of, has decided to cut-back on spending, and advocate austerity.

'Chalta hai, bhaai!'

Sanjay Dutt & Amar Singh tell Barkha Dutt, NDTV viewers, & all of India that they have recorded evidence of a Union Cabinet Minister offering to let SanjayDutt off, legally; in return for favors of a political nature.

Furthermore, in answer to Ms Dutt's query on why they refuse to name the Minister in question, Mr Singh says that they might want to do 'business' with him, in the future.

1. We have a Cabinet Minister offering to subvert judicial process for political gain.

2. We have Sanjay Dutt, 'stinging' with an intent to blackmail.

3. We have Amar Singh, blackmailing the Government/Ruling Party, on TV, no less!

4. We have Mr Dutt & Mr Singh, concealing information on a crime, from the law.

5. And finally, we have You, I, and the rest of the Indian Citizenry, de-sensitized and/or corrupt, wondering why, on Voting Day!

'Chalta hai, bhaai!'
